Brian Battaglia, Esq.

Brian Battaglia, Esq.

Brian Battaglia was recently retained by Largo City Commissioner Curtis Holmes to assist him with respect to a proposed Censure Resolution by the City of Largo City Commission arising out of an iPad and private e-mails. Brian Battaglia immediately undertook a series of actions designed to evaluate the proposed action, including numerous public records requests to the City, exhaustive review of the complex issues and evidence, and the development of a strategy to address each of the allegations, refute them head-on in order to defeat the Censure Resolution proposed by the City against Commissioner Holmes.

tabletOn September 30th, in a public hearing before the City Commission, Brian Battaglia introduced numerous documents into the record, made a spirited argument pointing out the requirements of the Florida Public Records Act and other issues concerning privacy. In addition, Brian Battaglia in his argument set the record straight with respect to the allegations that had resulted in much disinformation and confusion. After considering the arguments, the City Commission in a 6 to 1 vote found in favor of Commissioner Holmes and disapproved Censure Resolution 2129.
